Non-destructive testing services
ZBM ULTRA offers non-destructive testing services. Our staff holds level 2 and 3 certificates in the industrial and railway maintenance sectors in accordance with EN ISO 9712 in ultrasonic and visual methods. We conduct tests based on standards, presented instructions or guidelines, and on the basis of independently developed procedures. We perform tests of, among others:
thin butt welds with thicknesses from 2 to 8 mm in accordance with the IBUS-TD procedure,
butt welds with thicknesses from 8 to 100 mm in accordance with the EN ISO 17640 and EN ISO 11666 standards,
fillet welds,
forgings in accordance with EN 10228-3 and EN 10228-4,
castings in accordance with EN 12680,
steel bars in accordance with EN 10308,
plates in accordance with EN 10160,
thickness measurements in accordance with EN ISO 16809,
solid railway axles,
hollow railway axles,
wheel rims and tyres of railway wheel sets,
other elements of railway rolling stock.
