Our offer includes ultrasonic testing equipment for rails and welded rail joints. Our customers appreciate our knowledge and competence. We are one of the suppliers of ultrasonic equipment for PKP PLK S.A. (Polish railway infrastructure manager).
Welded joints and rail welds are tested manually using classic ultrasonic flaw detectors. The CUD flaw detector we produce is equipped with a dedicated program that guides the operator through the testing process and performs automatic joint assessment based on recorded defects. Thanks to this, we have improved the process of testing welded and welded rail joints in accordance with the Id-17 PKP PLK instruction. We also offer tandem system probe guides.
Rail testing is carried out using a single-track testing system. The set consists of a multi-channel CUD TOR ultrasonic flaw detector, a trolley, ultrasonic probes, software and operating instructions. After removing the flaw detector from the trolley, it can be used as a universal ultrasonic flaw detector. The equipment is developed in accordance with the Purchaser’s guidelines (selection of probe layout, frequencies and angles of wave beam introduction). Example diagram of ultrasonic wave propagation for individual probes:
The CUD TOR flaw detector has twelve channels as standard and the head can be equipped with this number of transducers. The device has a touch screen that significantly facilitates operation. Results can be displayed in ScanA (for each probe separately), ScanB and ScanC (collective views). The GPS transmitter allows for precise determination of the location of the detected discontinuity and automatic generation of reports. The weight of the device without the coupling agent is approximately 10 kg.
